Blessing Chimanga raises the Zimbabwean flag at Cirque Mother Africa Tour, Turkey 2015

Blessing Chimanga commonly known as Bled, born December 1990 is a very talented drummer, marimba player and vocalist. The young man is representing Zimbabwe for the second time at Cirque Mother Africa Tour 2015 in Antalya, Turkey where he has been performing since the 1st of May.

Mother Africa is a circus group that is well known across the globe for excellent shows that has acrobats, dancers, singers, musicians and circus acts in one powerful show. The group has been successful and fast growing. It has employed over 100 young artists from Africa.

Mother Africa is not just a traditional African show. It also has a take on the modern, fresh and dynamic culture of the new Africa. Musicians and artistes articulate their passion and love for their homeland during the show. It also presents as a platform for artistes to market their creative brands and access new audiences.

Blessing first worked with the circus group on a Swedish cruise ship in 2013 as a drummer. This year he was promoted to band leader and musician consultant, a post which allowed him to bring more Zimbabwean talent to the band. These include Othnell Mangoma Moyo, a percussionist, Frank Mavhimira lead guitarist, Ronald Mhundwa bass guitarist, Raymond Mupfumira keyboardist and Tinashe Mukarati saxophonist.
