Artists Mobility Fund Grants Communique

The Culture Fund’s mobility fund for artists is run in partnership with Hivos Foundation, Swedish International Development Corporation Agency (Sida) and the European Union Delegation to Zimbabwe. It was established in 2013 by the Culture Fund and Hivos Foundation with the objective is to assist artists’ travel to fairs, festivals, exhibitions, workshops and other related activities around the country, region and abroad. This facilitates the exchange of Zimbabwe’s diverse culture and heritage as well as enables as many artists as possible to access new markets and audiences. Assessments for the mobility funding are done every month. Individuals, groups and institutions are all encouraged to apply.

Below is a list of applicants who were successful for the month of May 2015.

Applications: 12 received, 5 approved and 7 not recommended

Destinations: 4 local travel within Zimbabwe, 1 South Africa
